Learning happens anywhere

Located in downtown Whitefish, Lark Skola takes a novel approach to elementary education: bigger community, better connections.

Welcome to Lark Skola

Lark Skola is a not-for-profit, independent elementary school. We use mixed-age groups for classroom activities, community projects, and nature immersions, in addition to 1-on-1 sessions with our learning specialists to bring focused attention to each child’s experience.

HOW WE LEARN

Our big-picture curriculum

The essential skills of creativity, critical thinking, and compassionate decision-making come to life when kids can connect what they learn to where AND who they are.

SUPPORT OUR LARKS

From the ground up

We all have that teacher, class, or special program that delivered far more value than it cost to create. Join our inaugural fundraising campaign and reimagine what a school can be.

OUR MISSION

We are changing the culture of learning by pairing what to know with how we grow.

We help students develop relationships inside and out, form healthy learning habits using the best academic research, and build connections in town and beyond where students feel responsible for their purpose and place.

Learning on the wing

The questions we ask, the models we use, and the places that helps us find clarity look different every day.

All children are natural learners. Lark shows what is worth learning.

We provide a rigorous academic program that challenges, provokes, and deepens our students’ repertoire of skills. And even more importantly, those skills can be plugged into the meaning-making world of your child’s own thoughts, feelings, and passions.
